Winter at Broadgate

THE BRIEF:

Having helped in the launch of Broadgate Circle, Chocolate Ltd was subsequently appointed by Broadgate City of London, a business campus owned by British Land and GIC, to create the creative package for their Winter at Broadgate campaign.

THE SOLUTION:

Our work covered the design of showcase super graphics at Liverpool Street Station entrances, way finding signage, ice rink box office branding, window vinyls, barriers and hoardings. Digital work included home page banners on screen, advertising at Liverpool Street Station, digital animations, and social media creative.

Our Winter at Broadgate creative suite is perfectly placed to embrace the open and elegant atmosphere, whilst evoking crisp winter evenings in sophisticated surroundings.


VITAL INGREDIENT

THE BRIEF:

Chocolate Ltd very quickly became an in house marketing department for Vital Ingredient helping to establish them as leaders in their field.

THE SOLUTION:

Work included all sales promotion, local marketing, design and build of a responsive website package, point-of-sale, social media updates and promotions, signage, store refurbishments, packaging, experimental marketing, launch and promotion of online delivery service, email communications and design/ launch of their loyalty scheme. we have helped Vital Ingredient to grow from 8 to 20 stores in just 3 years.


TRINITY WALK

THE BRIEF:

Trinity Walk commissioned Chocolate Ltd to develop a trade advertising campaign for the build and launch of Trinity Walk. Our work at the centre still continues to this day.

THE SOLUTION:

Chocolate Ltd were responsible for all branding, website build and maintenance, email marketing, press advertising, trade advertising, communications and a £250k signage scheme to improve customer journey and local awareness.


THE LEADENHALL BUILDING

THE BRIEF:

The Leadenhall Building is a joint venture between British Land and Oxford Properties. Chocolate were selected to work on the sales materials for the spectacular restaurant space due to our ties and experience working within the catering industry.

THE SOLUTION:

A landmark building such as this needed an outstanding promotional piece to reflect the quality of build and exceptional opportunity. Working closely with The Leadenhall Building management team, and using our trusted photographers and copywriters, Chocolate produced a slipcase containing two brochures which delivered on all counts. The piece is full of creativity and surprise – perfect for its target audience. We continue to work on some of British Land’s leading assets.


THE CORN EXCHANGE

THE BRIEF:

The Corn Exchange was in dire need of change as the building had fallen onto tough times. Chocolate Ltd was commissioned to give a rebrand to Manchester's shopping destination.

THE SOLUTION:

Working closely with English Heritage, Chocolate Ltd developed a new brand identity which included unit hoardings, press advertising, sales presentations and events literature. The project culminated in the design and installation of a brand new signage scheme around the building as part of a 1.5m improvement package.


STARBUCKS

THE BRIEF:

In 1997, Starbuck were to launch in the UK for the first time, therefore, they needed all creative to follow on from the success of the Seattle Coffee Company.

THE SOLUTION:

Chocolate Ltd produced point-of-sale, press packs, competition and store graphics to support the first ever 'Frappuccino' campaign - now a household word.


SELECT SERVICE PARTNER

THE BRIEF:

Chocolate Ltd was asked to build identities for a few chain restaurants to help position them correctly within other brands.

THE SOLUTION:

We positioned a wide portfolio of brands by developing strong customer journey trails and brands people remember. Highlights include development of the pasty shop brand and stores, pioneering of the famous bite card, launch of bean-to-cup coffee across the Burger King estate and the first ever newspaper advertising campaign for Upper Crust.


PRINCES TRUST

THE BRIEF:

Princes Trust were in need of a promotional piece, to ask retail companies for their help to build much needed opportunities for young people seeking development of ideas or careers in the sector.

THE SOLUTION:

Chocolate Ltd has a long history of working with youth charities in the UK, so we jumped at the chance to work with them. Originally an interactive PDF, there is now a print version too. The final piece has been well received by both client and their partners alike.


PATISSERIE VALERIE

THE BRIEF:

Help to increase sales with the customer journey plan.

THE SOLUTION:

Chocolate visited stores and assessed the success of the customer journey in individual units. Concentrating on their highest earning store, we used our findings to help them understand the best ways to maximise customer spend at key points of the journey. We created simplified new menu templates which could be changed by day part. These also cleverly encouraged upsell with no discount. While the rest of the stores saw a dip to -5% on average this work increased the unit sales by +13% year on year. And all this in the middle of a recession.


Lion Walk & Red Lion Yard

THE BRIEF:

Lion Walk Shopping Centre and Red Lion Yard are Colchester’s premier shopping destinations. Located within Britain’s oldest recorded town and surrounded by history, Chocolate Ltd were asked to provide a full brand package to go alongside the redevelopment, designed to breathe new life into the boutique shopping and food destination.

THE SOLUTION:

Starting with a full website overhaul, we created and continually up-date the events page, competition and contact forms. The new site beautifully reflects the exciting changes happening in Colchester and highlights the mix of local independent retailers and high street brands within a historic setting.

Non digital work included way finding signage, posters, trade and consumer advertising, letting brochures and logo design for Lion Walk Shopping Centre and Red Lion Yard.


LA TASCA

THE BRIEF:

Develop a creative platform to bring life to this confused brand.

THE SOLUTION:

We began with re-designing the store exteriors, adding more theatre and some Spanish flare. The brand work then led to a hand painted range of menus and POS (by our in-house team) which really resonated Spanishness to our customer base. Chocolate then helped build custom with an extensive local and national marketing plan, which included building and maintaining a new website. This increased online loyalty tenfold in 6 months (10,000 - 116,000 subscribers).


IXXY’S BAGELS

THE BRIEF:

Ixxy's Bagels wanted a marketing campaign that attracted customers to their New York style gourmet bagels.

THE SOLUTION:

Chocolate has produced a whole range of promotions for Ixxy’s helping to entice customers in store to make a purchase. This has included designs for retail packaging, a series of posters and point of sale and a range of leaflets.


IKEA SHOPPING CENTRE – RUSSIA

THE BRIEF:

Ikea needed creative for their launch of Ikea Shopping Centre Russia. They had plans to build 12 huge centres, their aim was to use the materials to reach out to the UK and Worldwide brands.

THE SOLUTION:

Creative by Chocolate Ltd included design and development of an animated film, 13 brochures, a unique and original website and exhibition materials for MIPIN and other large retail shows.


DISCOVERY NETWORKS

THE BRIEF:

Chocolate Ltd was Discovery Networks main design resource for many of their creative materials.

THE SOLUTION:

Work included targeted direct mail pieces, through the line advertising campaigns, online promotional work, interactive games and the redesign and distribution of the monthly listing magazine 'Highlights' which won us much industry acclaim.


DAIRY CREST

THE BRIEF:

Dairy Crest Food Service are one of the biggest foodservice suppliers in the UK. They needed a successful approach to teaching their sales staff on how to sell their brand to food service customers.

THE SOLUTION:

A presentation support pack was created to enable their sales staff to sell the Dairy Crest brand to potential foodservice customers.


CÔTE

THE BRIEF:

2 out of 5 Côte stores were experiencing poor sales and footfall. Chocolate were asked to consider local marketing to help raise awareness and profitability.

THE SOLUTION:

Through clever tactical marketing we helped find their local audience. We then gave them a pack to fix these problems in future. They are now a chain of over 25 successful restaurants. Of the stores we helped with, both are performing above average, one is still their top-earning restaurant.


COCO DI MAMA

THE BRIEF:

Coco Di Mama needed Chocolate Ltd to handle all things creative for their rapid growth in serving the best pasta and coffee in London.

THE SOLUTION:

From website to packaging, point-of-sale to redesign and specification of their new interchangeable menu panels, we're always on hand to help them with everything creative. Chocolate Ltd has revolutionised their customer journey and been pivotal in the design and launch of their first West End store.


CENTRE MK

THE BRIEF:

Chocolate Ltd were chosen to bring to market a brand new food offering at the famous Centre MK, a 'brand within a brand' - Destination Dining.

THE SOLUTION:

Work included creative concepts for huge 20m x30m banners to hide works until completion, marketing packs, videos, and digital to aid promotion and eventual let of dining space to the trade. This followed with local advertising in the press and customer journey trail to consumers.


BIRLEY’S SANDWICHES

THE BRIEF:

Birley Sandwiches are a chain of shops in central London who needed to increase their retail space.

THE SOLUTION:

Chocolate designed an attractive B2B marketing brochure to promote the Birley Sandwiches business. The brochure focussed on the extremely high standard and quality of their food.


APOSTROPHE

THE BRIEF:

Apostrophe asked Chocolate to help define the brand, identify their audience and develop messaging statements.

THE SOLUTION:

We arranged some branding groups with creative teams to help find the store’s USPs and ways to communicate them to their audience. Together we agreed a new approach. Chocolate developed a set of new guidelines which contained tone of voice and a new strapline. These were used to redesign the store template and were followed with a new and bold set of product packaging. Following a big surge in awareness, the stores are all still going strong in and around London’s West End.


ALFRED DUNHILL

THE BRIEF:

Alfred Dunhill needed creative support for their 'London' inspired range of fine jewellery and accessories in an international trade show in Switzerland.

THE SOLUTION:

Collateral by Chocolate Ltd included, the initial identity, sales packs, interactive digital promotions and online activity.
